Viikonloppuna ommeltiin muutama tunti. Aloitustilanne oli viime kesäinen pitsitoppi Zarasta, johon tehtiin helma. Toppi on hiukan venyvä, joten koko komeuden saa pujotettua päälle ilman kiinnityksiä. Yes, ei vetskareja, nappeja tai neppareita.
Ompelimme ensin mustan puuvillavuorikankaan paikalleen, Se oli mitaltaan 40x140cm, eli suora kaistale vain, mutta rypytin sitä hieman sieltä täältä. Seuraavaksi leikkasin kaksi metriä tylliä neljäksi suikaleeksi, jotka yhdistin toisiinsa. Tylliä oli rypytettäväksi siis n. 6 metriä. Katsoin saumakohdat paikoilleen, mutta en kiinnitellyt sitä sen enempää, koska sitä oli yksinkertaisesti niin paljon, että sen kuin vain syötti koneeseen... Seuraaaksi sitten kiinnitettiin musta nauha saumakohtaan ja vielä siihen rusetti muutamalla käsinpistolla. Lopuksi lyhennettiin ja käännettiin alushameen helma sopivan mittaiseksi ja sen jälken leikattiin tylli sopivaan mittaan, eli n. 3 cm alushametta pidemmäksi. Juhlamekko kahdellatoista eurolla. Perussaumat alkavat sujua jo tuolta ompelukaveriltakin ihan kiitettävästi, joten kohta saanen kunnian siirtyä pelkäksi neuvonantajaksi. Perussauma-tasoisest taidot riittävät mainiosti näihin ideoihin.

This weekend we were sewing for couple of hours. The beginning situation was the white lace tricot top from Zara in last summer. The material is bit elastic, so the dress did not need any zip or buttons... Yes!
At first I attached the lining to the top. It is simply a rectangular piece of black cotton in size 40x140cm. Bit of smocking here and there. Then we cut 2 meters of tulle into four even pieces and sew them together. Thus, we had altogether about 6 meters of tulle... Sewing it on was quite easy. I simply marked the spots for the seams and then sew as much tulle as possible as I went along. Then we fixed the black ribbon and a bow. And the final touch was to crop the black part into the right length. We began with the lining and once that had the seam in the right spot, we cut the tulle 3cm longer than the lining. A dress for 12 euros. My sewing companion gets already quite well along with basic seams, so I suppose soon I can have an honor to become an adviser only. My ideas namely consist only of the basic seams.
