Miehet keksivät, että voitaisiin mennä porukalla kalalounaalle Anderlechtiin Abattoir-torille. Sen verran rennompi rytmi valmistujaisjuhlien jälkeisellä viikolla, että ehditään hiukan olla sosiaalisiakin välillä... :) Tori itsessään oli tuttu juttu, mutta me ei ikinä aiemmin olla pysähdytty syömään siellä kunnon ruokaa. Aika vaatimaton ns. grilliravintolaksi, mutta ruoka oli ihan mainiota. Annokset sai valita tiskiltä. Kokki latoi tarjottimelle sitä mitä pyysi, punnitsi lastin ja heitti sen kuumaan grilliin. Tarjoiluun kuului vaaleaa leipää ja tomaattikastikedippiä. Hinta määräytyi grillattavien painon mukaan ja salaatti tilattiin ylimääräisenä. Hauska systeemi! Kaikki maistui todella raikkaalle! Laatu oli yhtä hyvä kuin keskustan hienoissa kalaravintoloissa, mutta hinnat olivat todella edulliset. Loistopaikka siis. Ja hiukan tuollaista eksoottista tori tunnelmaa siinä heti sitten selän takana... :)

The guys got an idea that we could go together to a fish restaurant at the Anderlecht Abattoir. Now that the graduation is over there is bit more flexibility during the working days. The market itself was not a new thing, but we had never stopped to eat a proper lunch there. It was too humble place to call it a restaurant, but the food was great! One could choose anything at the counter and the cook piled it all up on a tray, weighed the load and threw it all on the hot grill. They serve all their portions with bread and spicy dip and salad could be ordered as a side dish. Everything tasted really fresh! Actually so good that it's not exaggerating to say that the quality was the same like at the fine diners in downtown. The price, however, was just a fraction of it! What a great place! And there was quite a bit of authentic exotic market feel right behind one's back... :)
